I am excited to welcome three new colleagues to the City Council, after they took the oath of office on Monday, December 3rd: Councilmember Victor Preciado, representing District 2; Councilmember Nora Garcia representing District 3; and Councilmember Steve Lustro, representing District 5.

I have worked closely with all three of these individuals in the past on various community efforts, and Nora and Steve both previously accepted my appointment and served as commissioners to the Library Board and Vehicle Parking District, respectively. I am excited by the potential of having these fine people as colleagues on the Council.

I also want to take this opportunity to acknowledge my colleagues who stepped down from the Council this past year: Adriana Robledo, Cristina Carrizosa, and Ginna Escobar. Their commitment to our community and years of service are noteworthy. I wish them the best and know that they will continue to serve their community in various ways.
