As we deal with the COVID-19 crisis, the work of the City continues to ensure our community is prepared for life after “Safer at Home.”. At our council meeting via teleconference last Monday, we approved our list of roadways scheduled for refurbishment in 2020-21 and 2021-22. The Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 requires the City to undertake a comprehensive process of evaluating and prioritizing which roads to repair with transportation funding we receive from the state. We have evaluated and prioritized each road in the City, and use this process to determine which roads are repaired. I wish we could repair all our roadways this year, but this process is a fair method for determining which roads get repaired with the limited funding we have from the State of California.
