Measures PG and PC Pass!
We did it! Last Tuesday, Pomona voters resoundingly passed Measures PG and PC by 64% and 70%, respectively. Our City took a major step forward to ensure that we have the resources to provide quality services to our residents. Measure PG is estimated to generate $12 million annually, which will support police and fire services, infrastructure maintenance and repairs, community programming, and homelessness programs. A critical component of this measure is the establishment of a citizens’ oversight committee, and I will have more to share with you about this committee in the coming weeks. If and when Cannabis operations are legalized in the City, Measure PC is estimated to generate $400,000 – $500,000 in annual revenues which will help regulate such businesses, as well as support city services. As we consider the legalization of commercial cannabis facilities, this measure is essential for Pomona to benefit from these businesses.
Both of these measures are critical to continued progress in Pomona. Thank you for your support!
