Last year, Tim was selected to speak at TedX Claremont. In keeping with the storytelling theme of the event, Tim shared about the experiences that led him to care so deeply for his own community.


The Political Awareness Club comprised of students from Pomona High School was the brain child of some students while attended summer school. Unlike many “great ideas” that never go any further, this group of students made this one a reality. The students decided to take on the sizable task of coordinating a mayoral debate. They contacted the individuals that filed the papers to begin campaigning and invited them to participate. Two of the three men that currently intend to seek the position of Mayor agreed to participate – Frank Guzman and Tim Sandoval. (Part 1 & 2)

 


The League of Women Voters of the Claremont Area, the NAACP of Pomona Valley, and the Latino/Latina Roundtable hosted a public forum for the office of Mayor and the District 1,4 and 6 Council Candidates of Pomona. The Candidates Forum was held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 7-9pm Pomona City Council Chambers. This is the video is full.
